Educational content, not professional advice

Pool Operator Prep is a study and reference resource for people preparing for a pool-operator certification exam. It is provided for general educational purposes only and is not professional, legal, or public-health advice. Nothing here creates a professional relationship or guarantees any exam result. Most importantly, this site does not certify anyone: certification requires the instructor-led course offered by the credentialing body, and we are a supplement to that course, never a replacement for it.

Accuracy and dated facts

We check every exam fact, fee, and requirement against a primary source (such as the credentialing body or a state or local health department) and stamp each page with the date it was last reviewed. Rules and fees change, and a figure that was correct on its review date may be updated afterward. Always confirm current requirements with the official source before you rely on them. Where a body does not publish a figure, we label it as reported rather than official.

Pool Operator Prep is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or administered by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), or any government agency or health department. Names of exams and bodies appear only for accuracy and never imply a partnership.

Intellectual property

The text, study guides, practice questions, pool-math problems, explanations, and graphics on this site are original works created by Pool Operator Prep and Urban Algorithm LLC. Our practice questions and math problems are authored from scratch against the public exam blueprints and the underlying water-chemistry and hydraulics facts, which are facts and not copyrightable; the questions and explanations themselves are ours. You may read, link to, and share our pages for personal study. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or resell our content without written permission. Illustrations are original or AI-generated artwork; we use no licensed stock photography.
